Desert Sand is a hand-woven rug from India, made of wool with a viscose blend. The wool provides resilience and durability to the pile, while the viscose adds a delicate sheen and silky softness underfoot. The warm, vanilla shade makes any interior cozy, and the texture, with its intertwining low and high piles, creates a palpable pattern that changes with the light.
High and low pile |
Two pile lengths intertwine on the surface, creating a pattern that you can see and feel underfoot. The play of light on both heights makes the rug look different in the morning than in the evening. |
Wool with a viscose blend |
Wool provides pile resilience and natural stain resistance, while viscose adds a delicate sheen and silky softness. The pile quickly returns to its shape after furniture is placed, so the rug is not permanently crushed. |
Hand-woven |
Each piece is handmade in India, stitch by stitch — hence the durability that machine production cannot provide, and the unique character of the rug itself. |
Two sizes to choose from |
Desert Sand is available in dimensions of 160 × 230 and 200 × 300 cm, |
